We are proud that we provide independent, impartial arboricultural advice and as such, we do not undertake tree work ourselves. There are many companies who do undertake tree works, but do not appoint them unless you are happy that they are qualified and well insured.

Tree work should be carried out by qualified, experienced companies and JCA has a network of such contractors across the UK.

Being a JCA appointed contractor means that they are aware of the relevant Health & Safety issues.

Before obtaining JCA’s approval, up to date Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Health & Safety Policies are required. All work arranged by JCA will be carried out in accordance with the relevant British Standard; BS3998 ‘Recommendations for Tree Works.’

We will arrange the selection, instruction and supervision of arboricultural contractors to ensure high quality results both for the client and the tree.

JCA will ensure that your tree works are granted by the relevant Local Authority, thereby indemnifying you of any responsibility in the regard.

With fines up to £20,000 per tree, this is a powerful reason to outsource the arrangement of such works to JCA.

Appointing JCA to organise your tree works makes good financial sense as well as relieving you of the burden of ensuring that all current health and safety issues are covered. Our network of contractors give JCA rates which are not generally available to the market.

Our modest management fees are generally absorbed by the savings made. Let us guide you through the labyrinth of legislation that surrounds modern tree work.
