National Vegetation Cover Surveys
An NVC survey is a detailed botanical survey of a site. This is usually a requirement for large infrastructure projects such as roads, wind farms and gas pipelines and also as part of the baseline ecological data of Environmental Impact Assessments.
NVCs take a considerable time to carry out and categorise every botanical species, from lower plants such as mosses to higher plants such as grasses and flowering plants. These are categorised into recognisable groups, and can therefore be used to inform detailed proposals.
If you would like to discuss if you will require an NVC survey or would like a quote for works to be undertaken, please contact us.
